The standard Beyond modular panel and tile design has been modified to create a recessed surface at the panel base to accommodate addition of a sealed cove base. This customization creates a drip edge at the bottom of the tile, concealing the top edge of the cove base and eliminating the opportunity for fluid to accumulate or penetrate the panel behind the cove base.​

The purpose of this design is to maintain the modularity of the installed product, easing future reconfiguration by preserving the non-progressive nature of the wall panels and not defacing the tiles with surface-applied cove base. This method allows tiles to be removed and replaced without interrupting the cove base.
